BACKGROUND OF FUTSAL
Futsal is a variant of association football played on a smaller field and mainly indoors. It
can be considered a version of five-a-side football.
Futsal is played between two teams of five players each, one of whom is the goalkeeper.
Unlimited substitutions are permitted. Unlike some other forms of indoor football, the
game is played on a hard court surface delimited by lines; walls or boards are not used. Futsal is also played with a smaller ball with less bounce than a regular football due to the surface of the field. The surface, ball, and rules create an emphasis on improvisation, creativity, and technique as well as ball control and passing in small spaces.
BENEFITS OF OPENING FUTSAL COURT IN PESHAWAR
Futsal can have an immense contribution to the local community as well as the economy, with bringing in not only capital but also attraction to the city itself.
Social Benefits
A Futsal facility would be instrumental in raising the bar of quality sports services to benefit the local community. It would not only help keep the youngsters physically fit but also the elderly, who never got a chance to showcase their passion for the sport due to lack of facilities and security.
Increasing choice and expanding horizons — Local population will gain from a wider choice of sports and activities since children and teenagers alike nowadays have a lack of resources to let them exercise openly. This is not limited to the male population either!
A private court would do wonders for the encouragement of female athletes and bring out some hidden gems this country so often never finds due to again — lack of facilities
A facility of this nature would not only be direct service to the community but would also become an attraction to the city itself, establishing a more progressive identity of it.
Recreational Benefits
Promoting a healthy recreational activity amongst the youth of the city would not only yield a generation of competent athletes but would also pave way for future opportunities in the sports sector. Such facilities aid in the provision of a secure environment for citizens to practice Futsal, a sport quickly gaining popularity amongst the youth.

This will increase the influx of people to the commercial area, therefore, increasing the sales of adjacent businesses.
